Beyond Cross Fertilization: How to support Re-use, Integration, Synthesis & Uptake of AIED?
A workshop at AIED 2011

AIMS
1) to improve support for re-use, integration and synthesis of research and tools from across the increasingly wide range of disciplines that make up the AIED community.
2) to better support communication and uptake of AIED research beyond the AIED community, particularly within mainstream education.


OBJECTIVES
• to share knowledge of existing tools and practices and the ways these are being used to support reuse, integration and uptake of AIED research.
• to move towards envisioning and defining requirements for new and improved tools and approaches to support reuse and uptake.
• to build a network of AIED researchers interested in taking these resources forward.


PARTICIPATION
To participate in the workshop please submit a 3-8 page paper addressing one of the key issues of how to improve support for re-use, integration and uptake of AIED research. Demonstrations of approaches, systems and other tools are particularly encouraged.

Beyond Cross Fertilization @ AIED2011

We are very pleased to announce that our workshop submission for the AIED2011 conferenceBeyond Cross Fertilization: How to support Re-use, Integration, Synthesis & Uptake of AIED has been accepted.

We expect the workshop to run on 27th or 28th June at the AIED2011 conference in Christchurch, New Zealand. Length and format of the workshop will depend on the number of participants.

AIED workshops will have a separate publication independent from the main conference.
